Jose Ferreira's Unique Balance of Football and Knowledge

When it comes to Jose Ferreira and his career, all you have to do is ask.

Whether it is asking for a jersey swap with an opponent or reaching out to club coaches in search for a trial, Ferreira has never shied away.

In COG Weekly Podcast's latest interview, Jose Ferreira shared insight to the rollercoaster that is a footballer's career.

Check out the full interview here:

Jose brought a unique and important perspective to the podcast as he explained how many footballer's do not have a back-up option other than the game. This usually leads many aspiring players who don't make it professionally to be left without anything to fall back on.

With encouragement from his father, he earned his degree from university.

Ferreira's influence and admiration for American soccer was a great topic of discussion as well. From playing in the Dallas Cup to analyzing the semi-pro/professional tiers of soccer in the U.S., Ferreira's biggest point of emphasis was the incredible fitness of all American players.

In Europe, there is less of a focus on the athleticism of a player due to the tactical and technical side of the game, but in the U.S. it is the priority.

Finally, if someone wants to know how to get any footballer's jersey, they should tune in just for that pro tip. All you have to do is ask.

It was a pleasure to have a conversation with Jose Ferreira and the full interview is out now on YouTube at The COG Weekly Podcast and any other platform that you find your podcasts on.
